Ingredients

  • White rum (4 cl)
  • Mint leaf (6)
  • Lime (0.5)
  • Cane sugar (2 cl)
  • Sparkling water
  • Cubito de hielo

Preparation

  • 01. Pour the mint leaves into each glass, taking care not to tear them. This is not necessary, and will avoid swallowing small pieces of leaf.
  • 02. Cut the lemon into pieces and add to the glass.
  • 03. Add the cane sugar.
  • 04. Crush the lemon in the glass with a pestle.
  • 05. Add the crushed ice, then the rum, and top up with the sparkling water.
  • 06. Stir to blend the flavors of the cocktail.

Tips

  • Use cane sugar syrup rather than sugar crystals, to avoid crystals in the mouth, which are not always pleasant to taste.
  • Serve the cocktail with a straw or stirring stick, so that you can stir the cocktail as you taste it.
